This time of year is bitter sweet for my family. It was 2 years ago this weekend that my mom celebrated her last birthday here on earth. She was 65. She passed away on December 8th 5 days after her birthday. Mom was so important to all of us and is missed very very much! She lived life to the fullest right to her last days and was a wonderful role model of what a wife and mother should be! She is still an inspiration to me as I remember how sick she was with cancer-yet she made every effort to go out and do things (like shopping with me and the girls) and visiting with her family every chance she could. She showed me how important it is to enjoy every minute with those that you love because you never know if it will be your last.
Mom loved Christmas time! She always had the house decorated so pretty and made sure that her tree was up with presents under it right after Thanksgiving for all the grandkids to enjoy. Then she and Dad would visit each one of us kids to see our Christmas trees! She made Christmas a very special time of year! That is why I know she would want all of us to continue celebrating Christmas as she is still celebrating-only she is celebrating with Jesus! That is what I meant about bitter sweet-Mom is not here with us and that is very hard...but I know for SURE that she is celebrating with Jesus and that is ever so sweet!
Please help me remember Mom's life and legacy by cherishing every moment you have with those who mean so much to you!
