As the presents have been stacking up under the Christmas tree Rebekah has found a big box with her name on it that she INSISTS is this child's tool box set that she saw at Menards with Philip one day. (it really is her American Girl baby and quilt that I made her!) So...every day she talks about this tool set that is in that box. Well..Philip and I hadn't even thought about getting that tool box set for her-we didn't know that she liked it so much-but we went out the other night and bought it for the girls to share. It is really cute-it looks kind of like the roll around tool box that we got Philip for his birthday (only much smaller of course) and it has all kinds of plastic tools AND a race car for them to take apart and put back together with those tools! So...anyway...I wrapped it that night and set it under the tree right beside the box that she THINKS has the tool set in it. The next morning she comes to tell me that her "tool set" is cold. I thought that she saw the new big box under the tree and figured it out that it was the tool set. But, when I came to see what she was talking about-she had put her beloved "blankie" over the box that she has insisted all this time has the tool set in it! Not even noticing the new huge box next to it with her and Elizabeth's name on it!!!
Oh...the excitement of Christmas through the eyes of a little child!
Elizabeth really doesn't pay a lot of attention to the presents UNDER the tree....she is too busy rearranging all of the ornaments ON the tree!!

that's a funny story
VERY FUNNY! What special joy it is to share in the lives of the Linser family! We love you all!!
You are brave. To Kyle's great dismay, I have not put any presents under the tree. At the rate that Conner brings me Christmas tree ornaments telling me NO NO NO. I am afraid what he will do with presents (shred them like kleenexes???)
